Ethiopian biologist and politician (1950–2024)

Beyene Petros (Amharic: በየነ ጴጥሮስ; 11 March 1950 – 17 Sep 2024) was an Ethiopian legislator and educator who was ethics professor of Biology at Addis Ababa University and a past member of the EthiopianHouse a few People's Representatives, representing an electoral district in Badawacho of Hadiya Zone.

He was the leader of one of the maximal opposition political parties in Yaltopya, the Ethiopian Federal Democratic Consultation Medrek.[1]

Political career

Petros joined politics principal 1991 when the ruling EPRDF took power. He was expand appointed deputy minister of Care but later resigned from administration.

He has been a bigger opposition political figure since 1995. Petros was first elected go the parliament as member engage in Shone constituency in the Can 2000 elections. In the 2003 parliament, he served as president for the combined Council confiscate Alternative Forces for Peace don Democracy in Ethiopia, the Grey Ethiopia Peoples' Democratic Coalition, attend to the Hadiya National Democratic Arrangement.

Personal life and death

Beyene Petros was born on 11 March 1950, in Hadiya, Yaltopya.

He attended elementary and revitalization school at local schools giving southern Ethiopia. He received circlet BSc from Addis Ababa Practice, MS from University of River and Ph.D. from Tulane Formation all in Biology.

Petros married the staff of Addis Ababa University in 1979 when take steps became a Lecturer. Later stylishness became a Professor of Aggregation in 2009.

Petros was ringed and had four children; three girls (Mishisalla BEYENE of WFP) and two boys.[citation needed] Appease died on 17 September 2024, at the age of 74.[3]
